Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple Nike + iPod Sport Kit for iPod nano 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, iPod touch 1G, 2G, 3G (OLD VERSION)Customer Review: It's kind of cool! Summary: 3 Stars
The Nike + iPod is great for walkers and runners, but if you want to use at the gym for things like a bike or elliptical then forget about it. You can't calibrate the sensor for that type of movement which was a little disappointing. (Maybe in the fine print, it said that, but I don't recall reading anything.) Other than that, it's great. I'll use it more this spring/summer when we don't have snow on the ground and I can walk outside for fitness instead of the gym all the time.
Customer Review: Greatest invention ever. Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of the most ingenius things I've ever owned! I absolutely ADORE mine. I can't believe I've ever run without it. It even encourages you when you've run your longest or fastest run to date.
My only complaint is that if I run a 5k or 10k, the results obviously are shown in KM, and there's no way to convert to miles. This doesn't, however, bug me enough to knock off a star.
No runner should be without this handy little gadget.
Customer Review: Awesome Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great product. I tuck it in my shoelaces because I don't own Nike shoes, and it works great. The online tracking is a lot of fun as well. I love to enter challenges because it motivates me to want to run more. My husband has one as well and loves it. I actually got mine because he had so much fun with his. My only problem with it - I keep losing the sensor because I take it out of my shoe when I don't run, but that is totally my fault.
Customer Review: Not Perfect - But Pretty Darn Great Summary: 5 Stars
I have purchased three Nike + in the last two years (one every 8 months). I use it on long runs and short runs, and I find it to be fairly accurate for being a fancy "pedometer." If you really want an exact count, you should get a GPS watch. I wish the battery life were better, but it's inexpensive enough that you can replace it fairly easily. Overall, this is a great product and it works well.
Customer Review: Do NOT Buy this product Summary: 1 Stars
Do not buy this product. It is not worth 20 $ for a week of capturing your workout data. The chip does not have an option to recharge or use a new battery. Once it dies (which it does within a week), it is useless. Spend your 30$ elsewhere. You would think visionary companies as big as Apple and Nike would come up with products which we are normally used to, not this one.
