I have been using this for over a year, and I am still in love with the system. It is very easy to set up, and took almost not time at all. Calibration was very simple (and not even entirely necessary as mine was exact during the calibration anyway). Rather than paying so much for a special nike shoe, I highly recommend just buying one of the pouches that attaches to your shoe laces.
I have put over 300 miles on this, and it still functions flawlessly. It is exactly what I expected and I highly recommend it as a motivational tool to anybody that is interested in beginning to run regularly.

I really love this addition to my runs it keeps track of your workouts. Once you program your weight it will tell you how many calories you have burned. I also like that it keeps records of your personal best time for runs. The best part is the motivational voice you hear that tells you how updates on how far you have gone & how much is left to complete on the run. On a bad note it did lose data one of my longest runs. It froze up & lost all of the data for that particular run. I haven't lost another one since but that was kind of a bummer. If that hadn't happened I would have given it a 5 star rating!Customer Review: Motivating

I just started running again, (after a year break) and I was hoping that a device like this would keep track of my running and help motivate me to run more. It has done just that, motivating me much more than I expected it to. The nike-plus site is great! I've set up a goal to run a mini marathon in may and it helped me create a detailed running plan. Also the little goals and challenges make running more fun and rewarding. As silly as it might sound, its actually pretty cool and motivating to hear Tiger Woods congratulating me on my fastest mile yet. I've used the Nike+ thingie for 6 months now and it's GREAT!! It has always been very accurate measuring distance for me. Since I don't have nike shoes I bought a little pouch that you attach to your shoe and have had no issues. It's awesome, it almost turns working out into an RPG :) It tracks your records, and when you hook up your ipod after the run it uploads your information onto the nike website where you can track your progress, set challenges for yourself, join challenges that other people have posted (from all over the world!). The kit works fine. Unless you're a hard-core runner or want to use GPS and upload your stats, you'll be happy with the results.
The website has always been a little slow and clunky, and I dislike the inability to manually input stats on days when, for whatever reason, either the iPod wasn't working or the sensor didn't properly work (which is rare). I think Nike could do a lot more with this site with a little attention paid to it: I'd rather have more stats and ability to manually input things - and ditch the too-cutesy little cartoon characters.
