Customer Review: One of the best Ipod Accessories
Summary: 5 Stars

This is probably one of the best things a runner could use, no matter what the experience level. I bought it mainly to help myself get into better shape, and its pulled through in spades. Where once I could barely run half a mile without wheezing, now I can easily run 2 miles, even four miles on a treadmill. It actually makes me want to run, with the helpful training feature thats available on the nike+ website, and you get to see your past runs, which helps if you're trying to better yourself. The sensor is small, so a nice velcro pouch helps keep it on my non-nike shoes, and the receiver and ipod fit into most generic armbands, although some people prefer a belt clip. One other thing that helps is the specific training music you can buy, that tell you when to run, how to run, how fast to run for how long, and when to slow it down. Its like having a coach in your ear. By this product if you intend on running.

Customer Review: DON'T LAST AND ITS HARD TO USE !!
Summary: 1 Stars

I got this product a year ago and I was using few days good and other days won't work because the sensor in my shoes won't be recognized by the ipod sensor so it's a pain in the neck to get it to work for one or 2 days and then won't work at all. This is the bad thing about sensors!!! Other thing is the battery life of the sensor is hard to tell when you need to replace it because it has nothing to take out not even a light so if you turn on or off the sensor or the battery needs replacement you can't tell because all it has is a button which you pressed in but you can't tell if it is on or off, if it's working, if the battery is wasted.. I hate now that I spent like $40 in this when I could have gotten a heart monitor watch or something like that, don't buy anything that has sensors specially if the sensor does not has anything to tell if it is still working....Waste of money!

Customer Review: Good but don't count on its accuracy
Summary: 3 Stars

Like several reviewers here, I like the Nike+, but I've found that its accuracy is not great all the time. I usually run on a measured track, so I've tried to calibrate it to be more accurate without much luck. As I pass a mile, two miles, etc. I check the Nike+ measurement, and its always short even after calibration The strange thing is often it will be short most of the run, and then at the end (eg., 5 mile run) it will be pretty close. My pace is pretty consistent too, so I don't think that is the problem. The reason I use it on the track is so I can record the workouts on the web site, which is excellent. If you're running out on the street and you don't have the path measured, the Nike+ is a good way to get a general idea how far you're running. I would say it's usually off by about 10%. If you want true accuracy, better get a much more expensive GPS system.

Customer Review: Very Inacurate
Summary: 2 Stars

I received this as a gift, and no where in the instructions does it tell you how to use it if you are not waering Nike Shoes. Having said that I used it with non-Nike Shoes and a holder, designed specifically for it. I ran for almost 10 minutes and it said I had only gone .10 miles! I'm not a fast runner, but thats even slower than me.

It also has no GPS, so if you want to calibrate it and don't live near a test track (the high schools near me are not safe and the tracks are not open to the public), you are SOL. I guess I will have to use both my iPod, with this, and my iPhone with the free Run Keeper program at the same time to figure out how far I am really going.

I haven't tried the website yet, but I can't imagine it being very helpful if it can't even get the distance correct.

Customer Review: Makes running enjoyable. Helps me stay focused and set goals
Summary: 4 Stars

This is the second time I have purchased the nike plus sport kit. After about a year and a half the little plastic thing you stick in the shoe died on me. I wasn't as careful as I should have been and took it out when I was just wearing my shoes around. That probably caused it to die a little earlier than is should have. I bought a new plastic dohicky from the apple store but it DID NOT work with my receiver. I figured I need a whole new thing. I am into biking now so I don't use it as much as I used to. I need to pull it out and go for a ran here soon though. I do like the feedback you get except the girl seemed to be stuck on telling me I had hit 500 miles or something. It got annoying. I am hoping they updated the software in this one so it doesn't get stuck.
