Este es el tercer cargador que compro debido a que los 2 anteriores se dañaron sin razon aparente.....el primero pense que habia sido mi hijo el que lo daño metiendoselo en la boca, pero el 2do se daño sin que mi hijo tuviera acceso a el......la parte magnetica funciona a la maravilla, pero los conectores del cable, al parecer se pegan y no hacen buen contacto en la computadora, entonces o no carga la bateria de la laptop, o la laptop no reconoce la corriente externa, asi que Apple deberia rediseñar este cable para que los puntos de conexion del cable no se peguen y asi no exista mas fallas......pienso ademas que deberia ser un accesorio mas barato, debido a las interminables fallas y quejas que recibe este producto tanto en esta pagina como en la de Apple...irremediablemente es el unico conector que le sirve a las Apples, asi que no queda otra de seguir comprandolo........es recomendable evitar que el conector entre en contacto con la humedadCustomer Review: Apple MagSafe Power Adapter Could Be Better

The original adapter that came with my MacBook has served me well. After dealing with numerous PC cords over the years, I can say the MacBook's is superior, but in need of continued development. The cord looks a little delicate, so I take care not to wrap it too tightly when stowing it away. The breakaway magnet idea is great & I'm sure it has saved my computer from a nasty fall. As for the unit becoming hot with use, depending on where I plug it in, the adapter can heat up and become uncomfortably hot to the touch. I work and study in some very old buildings, with who knows what type of electrical wiring. My only serious qualm is with the price. I wanted to purchase an additional adapter, in case I leave the original someplace, but now I'm thinking twice.
Update, Aug. 2010:
The flip out prongs are a little fragile. I picked up a replacement for mine for about $10. Unit is still going strong after about 4 years. Cord in good shape.

I admit that the internet is a great place to get deals on electronics if you are patient, but I needed the charger soon. Yes, I could have gone to the apple store to shell out $80 on this charger and gotten it immediately, but that's really a ridiculous price. So I bought it here, and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally I just thought it had been lost in the mail. I really needed this charger so that I could have access to my laptop, which had been dead for a month. When I did get it I was past the point of being excited and just eager to use it. Only complaints with the product is that the wire is WAy too short. Its not the same charger you get with the original laptop. Its a different version and you pretty much have to be sitting on the power outlet to use it. I would just recommend shelling out the extra money and buying this product from apple. You save time, and get the product you needCustomer Review: decent charger for the price

I ordered this after I had lost my original MacBook Pro charger (or so I thought), and I was relieved to find that the delivery came within the next two or three days after I placed my order. The charger is not the same as a regular Apple-made charger, and I was a bit disappointed with the lacking strength of the magnetic connection between the charger and the charging slot on the MacBook itself. It would often fall out or become easily dislodged, unlike my original charger. Also, the charging light remains lit up for quite some time, even after being unplugged from the laptop itself.
I later found my original Apple charger and quite happily resumed using it, though I am pleased to have this as a backup charger in case I ever misplace my other one again. This is definitely worth the slight flaws for the significantly lower price, compared to buying a brand new Apple brand charger.

I've used this adapter for about a month now, and I'm sure the magnetic attachment has saved me one, maybe even two, broken cords. Good going, Apple! Now for the bad news. These little wall warts are easily misplaced, left behind, etc., and the price, as you've no doubt noticed, is 10-15 bucks more than the previous model. I left mine in the hotel room, and the hotel can't find it, so after a single month I'm out another $80+ for a replacement. And if the sticker shock weren't enough, go to Apple Store and check out the reviews of this little number from numerous unhappy users, who award it a collective 2 stars (out of 5). Apparently it heats up and shorts out within a year. That's small consolation for my loss--at least I won't be electrocuted quite as early as some other users. Still you might want to check eBay to see when some clones at a third of the price are available.
