Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple Keyboard KitCustomer Review: Stylish and functional keyboard Summary: 5 StarsI purchased this to replace my plastic white iMac's keyboard (last generation system). The flatness took some getting used to, but once you adapt, you'll enjoy typing on it more. I certainly do. This design is beautiful and takes up less space. The keys feel better to the touch and don't make nearly as much noise.
As with all of Apple's designs, you don't have to sacrifice form for functionality, or the other way around. This keyboard is both stylish AND practical. And at $30, you don't have to suffer much for fashion either. This price is comparable to other keyboards.
The keyboard also supplies 2 extra USB ports, a much needed innovation for a lot of people. The one major downside is that they don't provide enough power to run most of my devices, except for USB memory sticks or mouse. USB-powered hard drives, Wacom tablets, even SD/CF card readers will fail because they require more current than these ports supply, so you'll have to plug them into the computer, or a powered hub.
But keyboards with USB ports are still uncommon, so I do not fault Apple for not giving them more current. I am very happy with this attractive, comfortable, and useful keyboard.
Customer Review: Great keyboard Summary: 5 StarsThis keyboard is awesome. I love the tactile feedback and numeric keypad. Worth the money if you have a Mac and need an external keyboard.
Customer Review: ick. Summary: 1 StarsThis keyboard ios awful. hile it looks pretty, it often goive syou unexpected surprises when typing. Unless copnstantl;y correcting mistakes is something you don't mindf doing, I'd stay away from this keyboard.
Customer Review: Terrific Keyboard Summary: 5 StarsI bought the extended keyboard to replace the standard keyboard that comes with the new iMacs. Both keyboards utilize the same design of the key switches and have the same feel. However, the extended keyboard has dedicated Page-up, Page down keys in addition to the numeric keypad.
Having used a variety of different Mac and PC keyboards, I really like this new design of the keys. The new keys don't depress nearly as far having a shorter and lighter travel, feeling closer to what you'd get on a Mac laptop. However, the short throw design is easy to get used to and it is possible to type very quickly with high accuracy and most importantly, low effort.
I find the keyboard very quiet and comfortable.
Customer Review: impressed Summary: 5 StarsAfter falling in love with the new macbook keyboard I was hoping this keyboard would give me a similar experience and it has not disappointed. I normally don't like desktop keyboards but this slim profile is both unobtrusive and comfortable.
And I know I don't have to say that this is the best looking keyboard you'll find for $50.
