This was my second return from this vendor!!
The first one worked well, then it stopped working and returned the ipod.
When I received the replacement it would not start up??
I dont understand why these vendors dont even test the product before shipping it to their customer.

I think Apple is a lifestyle company and little else at this point. These unquestionably stylish devices are an accessory that is found in the hands of nearly all the world's gadget-loving, moderately wealthy peoples. Apple certainly does enable the people of the world to engage in the tech-hipster lifestyle.
My iPod is a nearly functionless pieces of Chinese garbage, barely worth more than the raw materials required to produce one. Speaking from my own experiences, this device started locking up constantly on me whenever I shuffle after just over a year of ownership, or just at random and frequent intervals. Just BAM, totally useless, the only remedy is to wait for the battery to drain to clear the lockup. The reset function doesn't work. As a result, no more shuffling; lost functionality.
Secondly, the battery is simply the wimpiest piece of junk I've ever seen. I've seen my iPod battery die in less than 20 minutes, and it never lasts longer than 4 hours even at minimal volume settings and regardless of the source of electricity I use to charge it. I've taken to carrying multiple chargers around with me, for the car and work, as the battery runs out so quickly now it is completely unreliable and useless.
I think I got 7-8 hrs of use when it was brand new, but again, after a year of use the device is crippled and semi-functional. And naturally, this all happened after the warranty expired.
I won't even discuss my grievances with the crappy interface, lack of robust features and complete absence of on-the-fly file management capabilities I've seen in lesser devices than the much-celebrated iPod.
People are going to buy Apple's junk regardless, but in this market you get ONE chance to impress me and that's it, after that I'll find someone else to equip my tech-hipster lifestyle.

I received this ipod as a gift, and loved it at first, plenty of storage space, videos, podcasts, pictures!!! But it froze up all the time, and when it froze up you had to let the battery die completely then recharge it before you could use it again!! Then after only owning it for 1 year and using it almost every day, it quit completely and was dead!! I then bought a Zune 30GB, and it has been one of the best purchases I have ever made, I have owned it for about 2 years now and it has only froze up once, and when it did it automatically restarted itself and was fine after that!! Please buy a ZUNE, you will not regret it!!
