My 95 year-old Grandmother has a hard time hearing to put it lightly. Even when she remembers to put in the hearing aids, it's still a struggle. This amplifier works wonderfully! And, it's MUCH cheaper than buying a whole new phone. Set-up was simple (just plug it in), and it's very easy to operate (just set it where volume is comfortable, and do nothing else!) Now Grandma can understand was when we call. It's amazing. I would highly recommend it!Customer Review: Ideal for hard of hearing people

This was purchased for my boss who has two hearing aids. His current phone had volume capability, but still left him questioning what people were saying. This device works great to the point that he says its too loud. good price for a product that really works. If you read the reviews you will see other people that have phones that do not have a base. This is not for those phones. This goes in line between the base and the hand set.Customer Review: I can talk to my dad on the phone now.

My 88 year old dad suffers from hearing loss. In the last couple of years I havent really been able to talk to him on the phone as he just couldnt hear me well enough to cary on a conversation. After purchasing this device and installing it (very simple!) he can hear me and we can converse normally. Product works just as advertized and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a conversation with an elder parent or loved one.....Customer Review: Great Help

I bought this amplifier for my Grandmother, who is very hard of hearing. Prior to this device, my Grandmother was unable to talk on the phone at all. Now she is able to hear and talk to out of town family and friends with ease. The amplifier is very loud, and the ability to change the tone works wonders. This product is working well for an elderly parent with hearing aids. Even with the hearing aids in and on, it was difficult for this person to hear telephone conversations, which meant few relatives or friends could call to visit. Now, with the in line amplifier, the phone has become a useful tool again, with the added benefit of no bothersome feedback through the hearing aids. Good product that does what it advertises.
