My first battery was this brand. I bought the Kindle in June of 2008 and didn't have to replace the battery until January of 2010. The only problem that I see is that I have to recharge it about every other day, but I read a lot. When the battery was needing to be replaced I knew it as the Kindle would lock up. However, I was able to take the battery out, lick the connector and relace the battery. This continued until I received the new battery. But it did give me reading time until the battery arrived. I could have bought a cheaper brand but I knew how this battery worked, so I stuck with it.
