Customer Review: Don't waste your money

I can't get it to load on my vista laptop. Wrote an email to tech support and never got a reply. I bought it with the Alurtek Radio and discovered it will not work with the radio. (It was never intended to). I won't send it back, not worth the trouble. I'll just reformat it and use at as plain old dongle...
Love the Radio. Great product. Everything works as advertised... Good sound...

When it works, it's fine. Unfortunately over 50% of the time when I plugged it into the USB port, nothing happened. It isn't recognized by the computer. I actually bought 2 of these and gave one to my partner. The same thing happened with the second device in a second computer. Trying multiple USB ports doesn't help either. [...]. This is so easy to use and has great reception (depending on your wireless service), I bought 3 - one for myself, one for my son-in-law, and one to keep at work. It does everything the ad says it does but better. Just plug it in your computer's usb port and off you go. News and music from all over the world just as clear as the stations from 20 miles away. When I plugged this into XP Pro, nothing happened. When I plugged it into Vista, I got a message saying that it was an unknown device.
I phoned J&R and they asked me if I wanted to troubleshoot the problem. I said I didn't have time for that -- I had expected it to work. They issued a return authorization number and I returned it.

I installed this and thought it was great. The next time I got on my laptop, I only had 1/10th the volume when trying to listen to anything online like videos etc. If I want to listen to anything I have to plug in earbuds. It didnt affect my windows sound, just online sound. So need to take in my laptop to my PC guy. Can't even hear the jukebox.
