We decided to get this for my grandfather as a Christmas present. The sound quality from such a compact speaker system is quite remarkable. It looks very stylish. The only control on the unit is simple to understand (volume & power) and easy to use even for older folks. As long as you don't want to change the channel on the radio unit (whose buttons are far too small for shaky hands not accustomed to modern electronics), this is a great - and very reasonably priced! - addition to a small apartment or kitchen.Customer Review: Altec Lansing XM3120 Docking/Speaker System

Before purchasing this item, I did read the reviews and found that 1/2 loved it and 1/2 hated it. To me, it's like that with everything and you really just need to form your own opinion. I actually love it, it's perfect, I get great sound from it, great reception, it's cute and good size. I keep it in the kitchen when I'm cooking or cleaning. So I would recommend it to others, it does what it said it would. Good price, fast delivery right out of the box I put my roady in and I was good to go.Customer Review: good sound, looks great too!

I have a couple of Roady XTs that I primarily use in my car. Decided to get one of these so I could listen in my home. Nice little system. Doesn't take up much room and has a pretty good sound for such a small unit. Downside, which you'll know if you have satellite radio, is that you need to be close to a window to get reception. If that's where you want the radio to go though, you'll be in good shape. Has really helped me to get more value from my XM subscription. I truly love this docking system for my Delphi Roady XT. After I recieved the order, I open the box, took out the system, plugged it in, attached the antenna, and attached my xm player and I was listening to clear streaming music in less than 4 minutes. The sound quality for such a small system is incredible. Would definetly recommend this item for those who want a great sounding system, that doesn't take up much room and has an unbeatable price. Only drawback is not having a means to turn the unit off without unplugging the xm radio from the dock, or unplugging the power transformer from the wall.
