Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Altec Lansing Music SpeakerCustomer Review: round sound Summary: 4 Stars
I found the Orbit-MP3 well worth it's value... very easy to carry
around when traveling and the sound is great for a single speaker unit.
The only problem is the opening hatch for the batteries... but it can
easily be overcome. Would have been greater if it has a stand for the
iPod!
Customer Review: Works great....but not long Summary: 1 Stars
I have now purchased two of these speakers. The first speaker lasted about 48 hours of use and then the speaker sounded blown with a crackling sound with it turned half-way up. The 2nd speaker didn't even last 20 hours before it was blown. This is a great sounding speaker but the durability is just crap.
Customer Review: How to turn this on and off easily, batteries Summary: 5 Stars
To turn this on and off easily, just get one of those rubber pads meant for opening sticky jar lids.
As far as the batteries go, I just leave the battery cover off.
Otherwise this is a fine product, I just wish it had a port for an AC adapter. I recommend this product strongly.
Customer Review: Nice Sound, poor switch Summary: 4 Stars
The sound is really good for such a small speaker, I just completed a 5 day camping trip, and used it daily during the rip for a few hours a day. It worked great, the iPod battery ran out before the cheap batteries I put in the speaker. As stated by almost everyone, it is a bear to turn on and off...
Customer Review: nah Summary: 2 Stars
The 207 is not as loud as the 237. Turning on the 207 is way too difficult, and impossible with sweaty hands! mine broke after maybe 50 turn ons.
I got this for 15 dollars at walmart after I bought a 237 off amazon, the 237 is most definately a better choice, Do not bother with this model.
