Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Allsop 28465 Mouse Pad Pro Memory Foam Mouse Pad (Black)Customer Review: Great inexpensive mouse pad that will last you a long time! Summary: 4 Stars
The mouse pad is bigger than I had expected, plenty of room.
The wrist guard is comfortable.
----EDIT----
I bought this mouse pad on December 25, 2007 and I am still using to this day November 9, 2008.
Going on one year of extreme every day use and it is still in great condition. The only wear is the ALLSOP printing on the mousing surface is faded and there is a slight dip on the wrist guard where I rest my wrist, actually is more comfortable now than it was new.
I just had to update my comment about the pad, I've had several $30-$50 gamer/precise mouse pads and they always start come apart after a few months of heavy every day use....but after 11 months of heavy everyday use I still have no plans to replace this pad!
Not sure on todays price but I bought this one for $6.99, how can you go wrong for that price?
On my next Amazon order I will be getting one of these for every computer I use, home and office.
Customer Review: Didn't know I needed it until I used it Summary: 5 Stars
Bought it for home but took it to work to unpack and am keeping it there. The mouse at work feels much better with the pad and wrist rest.
The wrist rest is not as springy as the gel rest I am currently using and it is lower and softer. Actually this feels very good and maybe better than the gel pad I have at home (and which is starting to seep gel matter).
The pad works great with the laser mouse. The surface area is bigger than I expected, maybe a little too big for what I need but it does not hurt that it is big. I put the edge of the keyboard over it on one side.
It has a little dent in the middle of the wrist rest - I think built into the design. I can shift my wrist to the side for a higher angle or the middle for a lower angle at the mouse - useful variety. The nylon cover feels very nice compared to the plastic of a gel pad.
Overall I really like it.
Customer Review: Not bad Summary: 4 Stars
I needed to replace an old, grungy mouse pad that I liked very much (something I picked up at a trade show a number of years ago). The Allsop pad looked similar, so I ordered it. While I don't like it quite as much as my old one, I do like it better than every other mouse pad I have tried. I find it to be very comfortable, and the memory foam "bump" supports my wrist just fine. My only complaint is that the edges of the pad curl up a bit on the left and right sides. Not enough to affect my using the mouse, but the appearance of the pad would certainly be improved if the edges were flush to the desk. I have tried to stack books on it to correct the problem, but that hasn't worked thus far. I figure that time and gravity will resolve this issue, and like I said, it isn't enough of a problem to give the pad a poor rating. So I recommend it, with that one reservation.
Customer Review: Good size but flimsy Summary: 3 Stars
I live at my computers, so the ergonomics are vital; this includes requiring good wrist-support in my mousepad. This Allsop looks good, but the memory-foam in the wrist-support compresses too rapidly, even when new, to offer me much comfort.
The flat portion of this mousepad is a bit larger than most, which is a plus, but thinner/flimsier than many. Adequate for the price, but not what I was looking for.
I went with the more expensive gel-filled-wrist-rest Belkin F8E262-BLK WaveRest Gel Mouse Pad (Black) which is firmer and better suited for supporting my hand.
So this Allsop is recommended for those on a budget or who want only a minimal "bump" under their wrist, but it's nothing special. Look elsewhere for a more ergonomic design.
Customer Review: Comfortable, affordable, Sufficient real estate without cluttering your desk. Summary: 5 Stars
Nice buy given its price. I have been using this only for a few days now but am wondering how come I never got one of these before. While buying the product, I thought that it may be a bit small but it turned out that this mousepad has way much more real estate than you will actually need if you are using a sensitive mouse. At the same time, it does not clutter my desk unnecessarily. Dont be put off by the oval shape. Quite frankly, a rectangular one would have been an unnecessary waste of space since you rest the heel of your hand on the memory foam and simply move your fingers to make the pointer go where you want to go. Its a great product for daily use though I would not recommend it for power gamers. Though not a gamer myself, I believe gamers will want to look for a smoother mouse pad where your mouse can glide more effortlessley.
