After saving a folder full of pics to a CD-R, my drive couldn't read the disc. I put in a DVD to test it and it started skipping right away. I went to the local office supply store and bought a cheap lens cleaner. The DVD played a little better but still skipped. Three minutes with the Allsop Ultra Pro and my DVD played perfectly. I put my CD in and viewed all my pics. Must be that carbon fiber technology.
I can't comment on the audio performance tests.

Purchaed this supposed DVD/CD cleaner to clean my Sony and JVC DVD Player/Recorders. Saw NO improvement on DVD's and would NOT even load on either of my Pioneer 6-Disc Mag Players. Useless product and big waste of money. I had used Memorex's OptiDisc DC/DVD cleaner previously, but wasn't completely satisfied with cleaning, so was hoping this cleaner would be better based on reviews. But it was not. Do NOT Buy.

Great cleaner CD -- cleaned all my equipment (CDs/DVDs/computer drives, too),
without any problems. The included sound tests are just space-filling
marketing trick (so I suppose the cheaper B00000J1QK would work just as well),
don't expect anything "special" out of them except for the price bump-up...

I was getting a lot skipping from rented and new DVD's. Read the reveiws and thought I would give this cleaner a try. It did not solve my problem, but my high end DVD recorder is in the shop and maybe it's not a dirty lens causing the problem??
Product was well made and the sound check is excellent. I think overall this is a good cleaner it's just not a fix all solution.

My drive is recognized by the computer but NO disk (blank, commercial CD, commercial DVD) gets read.
All show (under "properties") that the disk is full, but files are not listed.
Apparently this cleaner gives instructions FROM the disk.
Will it work if the computer can't read disks at all? How will I know what to do and when?
