Customer Review: Loud but Lacks Wall Adaptor

We were looking for some good small speakers to use with our kids' mp3 players so they could listen to music or stories as they head off to slumberland every night. We found it very difficult to find an affordable and compact set of speakers that use a wall adapter. But with the kids using these every night, batteries were going to be expensive or, at the very least, a pain to recharge on a regular basis. These Aerielle i2i speakers had the option of a wall adapter (we knew it wasn't included) and fell within our price range so we purchased two. The good news is that they come with batteries so you can use them out of the box. The bad news is that the wall adapter required is a 2.35/0.7mm 5v to 1 amp converter which is not only difficult to find, but also around $20 US. If we had known, we probably would have just paid the extra for a set of speakers that came with a wall adapter. The audio cable is also a bit short so you need to keep the speakers VERY close to the audio device. As far as the fancy portable nature of the 'folding speakers,' we really don't fold them that much so it's neither a pro or a con for us. The sound is pretty good and there is a bright LED light to tell you if you have the power turned on---which is good because we typically check on the kids before we go to bed and then switch off the speakers to save the battery life.
