The Adorama Pro Clamp is almost identical to the Manfrotto Super Clamp with only a few important differences. First there is a white label that has the Adorama logo and the clamp model number on the face of the clamp. This doesn't bother me at all, and I actually glued it back on when it fell off after about 4 days. Its actually easier to tell a novice assistant to hand you the "clamp with the sticker on it" than it is to try and tell them the difference between the Manfrotto and the Adorama when your in a hurry and on a ladder(great combination by the way). The 1/4"x20 female thread on the top of the clamp is much tighter on this clamp than it is on a Manfrotto, so much so that I have not been able to thread it all the way onto a tripod or monopod, the stud however is fine, you wont notice this unless you're using your clamp in some pretty advanced situations (i.e. not just mounting a camera or flash to a shelf or pole). The wedge insert included with the Adorama is also made of a bendy cheap feeling plastic, where as the wedge included with the Manfrotto is made of high quality plastic. The Adorama clamp also has a knob style bolt for tightening the clamp, depending on the situation this can be better or worse than Manfrotto's lever style action. Both the Manfrotto superclamp and the Adorama proclamp work very well for securing cameras lights and other fixtures. I tend to use my Manfrotto clamp to secure remote cameras and the Adorama to secure a strobe or other light source, because the Manfroto feels a little bit more secure, but does cost significantly more than the Adorama.
The wedges and studs from both Manfrotto and Adrorama are interchangeable between the two brand's clamps as well...
meaning i can use a Manfrotto stud in an Adorama clamp
or an Adorama wedge in a Manfrotto clamp and visa-versa
