Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of A-DATA Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory CardCustomer Review: don't hesitate, this is a great product Summary: 5 Stars
i'm sorry to those who feel they may have received a class 2 card. i bought mine and had it shipped for a great price, and i received the product that was advertised: a class 6 16gb sdhc card. it works perfectly in my canon sd1000 camera. i bought it last august for my semester in europe, and i was able to take thousands of pictures and plenty of video without deleting a single one. shooting was a breeze - quick and snappy. i backed up my pictures every week or so just in case, but it wasn't necessary. here i am a year later and i still haven't deleted a single picture. my camera still says i have room for 9999 pictures (just means i can hold more pictures than the camera can count). the startup for picture viewing can become sluggish with so many pictures on the camera, but it should not be a problem once i clear the card. not too much else i can say about the product. i hesitated at first because i didn't know the brand, but at that price i was willing to take a chance. if you're thinking about it, buy it. if you don't, you're passing up a great bargain.
100% positive
Customer Review: NOT class 6, otherwise a functional 16gb SD Card Summary: 2 Stars
If you're looking to purchase a SD card for full 1080p HD video, steer clear from this one. This card is definitely not Class 6 as it claims; it's much slower than that.
I bought this card two years ago (at a higher price too) because I figured I could utilize the Class 6 features in the future, but at the time I just wanted a relatively high capacity card for digital photos. It worked well for that purpose and I was able to even shoot some 720p HD videos. But fast forward two years later (aka now) and I have a new camera with 1080p video capability and this SD card turns out to be a big fail because it's not actually Class 6 as it claims. So now I have to purchase another REAL Class 6 SD card so I can actually shoot in 1080p.
But if you're looking for just a 16GB SD card and don't care about the speed, then this works as a functional 16GB SD card. It's worked for me for just that purpose for the past 2 years. I never had any data corruption at least. It's just not Class 6.
Customer Review: Yet another UNFORTUNATE user with a BAD card Summary: 1 Stars
Got myself a Canon SX10 IS with a 430EX flash and the A-Data 16 Gb Turbo class 6 card in December, been using it ever since but yesterday the card failed suddenly while transfering files to the PC through a SDHC card reader.
The PC (XP Pro) reports that the card is not formatted and if I format it, the process fails at the end (on the reader). When I format it on the camera it goes through very quickly and with no errors, and allows me to take pictures, but when I put it back on the reader Windows can't still recognize it.
I can't test it to full capacity since it will hold almost 6000 pictures or 3 hours of video which would wear the camera too much just to test a $26 card, but I'm almost sure it will report a card error at some point.
I ordered from Costa Rica and had to pay about $15 extra courier, and if I return it to seller/manufacturer it will be at least another $30 in shipping... lesson learned, ....I should have bought a more expensive but reliable brand of card.
Customer Review: Died at first use Summary: 1 Stars
I got this SDHC card on Friday and used it on my Panasonic Lumix ZS3 using the AVCHD video on Saturday, and after about the 10th clip, I decided to review the video and to my horror the error message said "unable to read memory card, please check memory card", I tried to read it on my computer later when I got home and it would even register! I was horrified, since I was asked to video this wedding and all the files are GONE. I should have been more wise then cheap, since it was a fantastic deal, $59.99 for 32GB. The reviews for this item had a number of failures but I was foolish enough to ignore them, so I paid the price for trying to get the best deal, which turned out to be the worst. At least Amazon is letting me return this item for a full refund. Will have to look for another brand that is more reliable.A-DATA 32 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card 32GSDHC6 (Blue)
Customer Review: Excellent! Summary: 5 Stars
So far, I've seen mixed reviews here on Amazon for this product and I can't understand why. Perhaps adata has a bad quality control that some batch are flawed? All I can say is that I've used mine for my Canon XSi, Canon VIXIA HF200 HD camcorder, helmet cam, and everything else that can handle an SDHC card and found nothing wrong with it.
It's fast and does what it's supposed to do. I really can't complain. I've had this card since the prices on the 16GB first dropped --that's how long I've owned it. Right now, I'm actually thinking of getting another one or just waiting for the 32GB prices to drop because these 16GBs still run for $30~ which was the price I paid months ago. I have a feeling 32GBs will soon be dropping in prices. I'm already starting to see some hit the $60 mark from the $100+. If I can wait, I will. If I can't, I will be buying one of these again.
