I purchased these as a printer hub to be able to have three computers print to one central printer in my home office. They work flawlessly for this purpose. A WIFI setup in the housing develpoment would have required a high level of security that would have required one of the three computers to be a hub for the printer, which would entail that that computer be power on any time you wished to print fron one of the other two computers. As it is the Cannon printer is a node on the Ethernet network in my house.
