I really just wanted a way to retrieve the files from a crashed laptop... I didn't even care about having an external hard drive. I thought this HAD to be too good to be true, but it worked so so so smoothly. Not only was I able to easily retrieve the desired files, but after saving them and reformatting the hard drive, I have a brand new external hard drive to back up videos, music, and other important documents. The case is beautiful, and I am just so happy! I've never ever taken the time to write a review, but I was just so excited I wanted to share my wonderful experience.Customer Review: Very happy!

I purchased a hard drive for my laptop, which I couldn't use due to a bad motherboard in the laptop. So now I had a hard drive which I didn't know what to do with. A friend of mine suggested a hard drive enclosure. I decided on the Acomdata Tango. It was very easy to install and now sits on top of my old computer's tower as extra storage. There have been no issues whatsoever with it. The only thing that I would recommend is to buy some velcro tape from the hardware store and put it on the unit. That way it won't slip off of your tower or other surface you normally keep it on.Customer Review: Solid enclosure for your money.

After reading the positive reviews of this product, I decided to pick it up, as I had a notebook HDD (WD 320GB HDD) that was lying around collecting dust. Those reviews were justified indeed -- this is a great enclosure that will be getting a lot of use from me for a long while. The body feels solid without sacrificing style. I had no problems installing the HDD in the enclosure, and it fit very well. I primarily got this for the eSATA connection, and I'm impressed with the write/read speed. Decent price, decent enclosure. I got my money's worth.Customer Review: You need this device!!

This is a great product. I had a pretty small 160 gig drive in my laptop. I needed to upgrade my system, so I bought a 320 gig and put my old drive in this device. A quick drive clone utility and presto, my files are all on my new drive and all thanks to this little device. I only ever needed to use a single usb port to power and use this great product. If only everything in the computing world could be so easy to use and so reliable. My old drive is now an external back up drive and works great inside this unit.Customer Review: Great hard drive case

This hard drive case worked great right out of the box. File transfers are fast and it is very intuitive to use. The only knock I have against it compared to other similar products I have used is that it uses tiny screws to hold the end of the case on and to hold the drive in place. This makes it solid, but I have another tool free case that uses clips instead of screws very effectively. In the big scheme of things, it is really a nit pick though. I like the product and would recommend it.
