Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Acomdata Tango USB 2.0/eSATA 2.5-Inch SATA Hard Drive Enclosure TNGXXXUSE-BLU (Blue)

Customer Review: Watch out when opening.
Summary: 5 Stars

When I opened the case, I was not careful with removing the screws and accounting for gravity. This resulted in the contents of the enclosure to spill out and drop on the floor. While some claim its fragile and doesn't hold an HDD all that well, it stood up well to the beating I initially gave it and functions perfectly. It has not let me down yet and it does what its supposed to do very well.

Customer Review: Works well
Summary: 5 Stars

This enclosure works well for 2.5" hard drives, but it doesn't make it known on the description page that you still have to use the power portion of the USB cord to power the drive in ESATA mode. Definitely well made and works just as fast in ESATA mode as if you have the drive directly hooked up w/o an enclosure. Works as fast as USB 2.0 can go in USB 2.0 mode too, no slowdown.

Customer Review: Great Product! Does what it says! Had a little trouble taking it apart.
Summary: 5 Stars

Nothing bad to say about this enclosure except it took me 10 minutes to figure out how it came apart even with a 3 picture instruction which didn't help.

Overall I give it 5 stars as it works as it should and it's very cool looking.

Could use some rubber feet on bottom to keep it from moving but overall I would do it again.

Customer Review: Fine by me
Summary: 5 Stars

Didn't really read the instruction manual, so I can't speak on that. But everything else was fine. It slipped in rather nicely (hdd) and has been working when I plug it in. It's a nice design to go with other Hdd's. Only thing I wish it didn't have that rinky-dink USB cable in the back. I hate those. But I bought it knowing that so... Yeah. buy buy buy

Customer Review: Not the cheapest, but worth the extra money
Summary: 5 Stars

The install instructions could use some work, but having said that, I really like this product.

Very good looking; the USB connection worked as advertised. I used it to convert my laptop's old hard drive (I upgraded the hard drive)to an archive drive. For $20, I've got a really nice backup system that I can carry around in my pocket.
