Received this item as a birthday gift.
Pops open easily after the two screws are removed (would have been nice to include a tiny screwdriver since these are such tiny screws).
My drive connected easily and after securing with the 4 included screws, I closed it up.
Windows 7, Vista, XP all recognized it fine and there was no trouble accessing my data.
After only a couple days, it suddenly stopped working. All systems claimed that a "USB device has malfunctioned." Reconnecting the USB cable, reseating the drive... nothing made it work.
Fearing that my drive may have failed, I stuck it into the enclosure this was replacing and it worked fine.
While this enclosure is nice looking it failed to stand up to even light use.
