Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of AT&T 265 - Trimline Telephone with Caller ID & Call WaitingCustomer Review: Good phone but annoying blinking light Summary: 3 Stars
As someone who lives in an old home with few electrical outlets and limited space, I love a good old Trimline landline phone. This phone works well for that purpose, and has some good modern features beyond that of the regular Trimline. However, it has the annoying feature of a blinking light to show that calls have come in, even if the phone was picked up. We find it rather annoying to have the phone blinking in our otherwise dark hallway all night just because we received (and answered) a call before bedtime and didn't have time to empty the call log. It would make more sense if it blinked only to warn you that calls came in and were not picked up.
Customer Review: Great Phone with Many Features Summary: 4 Stars
Corded phones are a must-have in our home and when our AT&T classic Trimline broke (which had no caller ID display), we went on a search for a corded trim wall phone with caller ID display. VERY, very hard to find.
My mom is extremely fussy about the type of phone we must have & this phone meets "her requirements". Yippee! Yeah - we can see the display (another biggy), adjust ring and ear volume, speed dial, flash, etc. Mom is VERY happy...hallelujah!
No problems with the receiver falling off the cradle. We just make sure we've placed it back securely. Finally! The treasure is found at the end of the hunt!
Customer Review: Won't Last Long Summary: 1 Stars
We got this phone new from Amazon. It was waaay less than $39!
It has been a year and it just quit working all of a sudden. It just sits on a table, no dropping necessary.
Caller ID was hard to read. And it had one of those cords that was cheap and thin so you could never get is untangled. Very funny joke when you try to answer the phone and the entire phone is lifted to your face due to cord knottage which can lead to you hitting yourself with the phone so be careful!
So save your money and get an old phone at good will or freecycle.
Customer Review: Excellent corded phone at very reasonable price Summary: 5 Stars
I would recommend this corded phone. I purchased two of these phones so I would have a good reliable land-line phone with a caller ID and a hang-up button on the phone. Finding a good land-line phone is not the easiest thing to find nowadays. Additionally, it has quite a few other whistles and bells for the price. I hung one phone on a wall (it has been no problem falling off the hook) and the other phone was hooked-up on another floor and placed on an endtable. I did find it necessary to purchase longer curly cords especially for the wall phone.
Customer Review: Good Corded No Frills Phone Summary: 4 Stars
My wife wanted a white slimline corded no frills phone, though one with caller ID would be nice. Corded phones are quickly becoming extinct, but I found this one at Amazon and got it. It is a very dependable phone with good quality sound, firm pushing buttons, a nice size LCD screen displaying date and time, and of course, it displays the caller ID with name, 10 digit number, and the date and time of the call. The only downside is the screen is not lighted making it difficult to read at times, but otherwise, a wonderful phone.
