Purchased this phone because the description said it could be mounted on a wall. It does mount on the wall, but the receiver keeps falling out of the cradle. This is NOT a wall mount phone--I have tried various things but nothing works. It's a great phone for desk, bedside table or counter use, but do not buy it if you need a wall mounted phone.Customer Review: Old school but hard to beat!

This is a good old fashioned ATT phone. You just can't beat something old and reliable. Sure I have a dect6 cordless phone and a cell phone too, but I wanted an old school ATT phone for a backup especially at my desk where I make my most important calls. All the buttons don't lit evenly, because there's only one small light source. Second, the buttons are not the soft translucent pads. They are gray hard plastic. The whole unit feels light and made of cheap plastic. No metal reinforcement. Sound quality as usual.
It's cheaper at Fry's than from Amazon.

I purchased this phone to replace an identical one that has served me for 20 years. I just finally wore it out. The new one has been in use for about a month now with no problems. It is our main land line phone so it gets a lot of abuse. It is a good, basic, no-frills phone that lasts. Sound quality excellent.Customer Review: Ideal backup phone

Ideal backup to use in a power outage, or if your cordless phone battery goes dead. The volume is adjustable, and is nice and loud, which I like. (Beats all my cordless phones on that count). Too bad there's no speaker phone feature, but as a standby phone, it can be a life saver and is worth the small price.
