Like the product and the 10 outlets, just not the master outlet function on it.
You need something plugged in for the dependent outlets to work.
When the device on the master is turned off, the dependents turn off too. This also happens with sleep mode.
Just beware where you plug your devices in

I use this for a PC and a digital multi-track recorder. Now I don't have to worry about losing important session data when I get summertime power blips!

I purchased an APC Back-ups 750 ES after my 5 year old APC 750ES failed. This is my 3rd APC purchase in 15 years. Always good products. My only complaint would be that the "trade up deal" they offer on their site is ...not a deal. They quoted $17 more than Amazon and they get my old unit to refurb or recycle!Customer Review: Works great, but not very reliable.

This is my second unit; the first one was replaced under warranty. The features and layout are very nice, and the unit did allow me a clean shutdown during various power outages. However, the second unit also expired early and didn't last very long. I'm no longer going to use APC branded products.
