This is actually the FIRST power outlet/strip that I've not had any problems plugging things into! Everything fit perfectly and I still have room for more. It really makes me wonder why this type of layout isn't the standard.
I gave it 4 stars because it hasn't been tested for spikes/surges yet so I can't comment on it's ability to protect. However, I own other APC products and so far they've never disappointed.

I purchase this because it had a great layout of receptacles. The one issue I have with this unit is the coaxial filter degrades signal too much where It drops my internet connection and I do not get a Picture on my TV. the Manufacture sent me another one and the same problem occurred. These are great surge protectors but if you want coaxial protection look elsewhere or buy a separate protector....Customer Review: Works Well

I mean, I think it works well - I haven't had a power surge yet. But if I get one, I'm sure this APC product will protect my home theater system. It seems like a quality product, well designed and several nice features. I like the flat plug to maintain a low profile to the wall outlet, and I like that the power cord rotates where it connects to the surge protector.Customer Review: APC surge arrest

In 2000 I had a six thousand dollar claim, APC paid with no issue.
Made a believer out of me.
Will continue to purchase UPS's, line conditioners, and surge bars from APC only...

Great unit for the price with plenty of sockets. There are pass-throughs for phone, network and cable lines providing protection for lighting strikes, but unlike most other units, this set actually includes extra cables for each that you would need to use this feature. The unit feels solid and the power LED isn't too bright.
