I learned that my house wiring was not grounded to the recepticle that this unit plugged into. After spending over $2000 on electronics for the family at Christmas, 60" HD TV, Playstation3, Onkyo 7.1 Stereo receiver... I would have been foolish not to have all that protected with this great unit, yes I rewired that outlet to the breaker box and the red code was taken care of. This old house at that outlet still had the two wires only, all the current wires have the extra ground wire.Customer Review: Great product

I use this product with every confidence that it will protect my expensive electronic devices (TV, DVR, Cable box, etc.) and have experienced only one minor issue -- pixelation problems with the coaxial protector. At first, I thought it was due to poor cable service, but once the cable tech said the cable lines were already protected from surges, I bypassed the surge protector and have far fewer pixelation issues. I received the unit and attached it o my new Samsung TV. I also connect the coax cable from the wall to the unit and connected the coax cable that was provided to the cable box. The picture became pixelated as if it was breaking up. I tried this again and the same thing occurred. I called APC and told them the problem and their solution was to send me a coax cable surge protector for free. I really think that this is a great product as first I wanted to get away from the APC battery backups. But overwhelming was my need for a unit that could accomodate my 5 ac adaptors, and give me maximum protection. Eveything is easy to get to, and it's just a perfect addition to my desktop. I also wanted the best protection possible so this met my need completely. The 11 AC power connections are nicely arranged in 3 rows. The center 5 are spaced for normal power cords. The two outer rows each have 3 receptacles that are wide spaced so that "power bricks" can actually fit side by side without rendering adjacent receptacles unusable.
