What you get is a 100 ft. roll of high quality, honest to goodness true shiny-red copper, 16 Gauge thick wire and I just can't see why anyone would settle for anything less.
I ordered this roll 'by mistake', not knowing that my Onkyo 7.1 speakers set actually came with its own color-coded wires and I was about to return it. I then decided to actually do a comparison test. The color-coded, thin, aluminum-like wimpy wires that Onkyo was providing 'for free' vs. the Acoustic Research, thick, near-pure copper. Needless to say, and I would not call call myself an audiophile, I immediately knew that this wire was a keeper. The sound coming out when using the AR's AP-16100W was clearly crisper, fuller and I did not go back to the color-coded Onkyo-supplied alternative.
Here's what you get:
- 100 ft. long, 16 Gauge
- Superior quality copper
- Off-white thick wire
- The '+' wire is clearly but discretely marked
- Limited lifetime warranty (I don't really know what that means)
- Made in China (why AR, oh why?)
I recommend this good quality, high performance speaker wire without hesitation.

What can I say, there good speaker wires. Good quality sleeves, good audio. I ran these all around my living room for my new Onkyo 7.1 home theater system and theres no distortion or humming of any kind the longest length I used was about 75 ft and it still sounds perfect. I actually ended up using two roles of this for my relatively small living room. I was amazed at how much wire I needed. I actually had to attach a little extension piece for one of the wires and it's still perfect. I just used two of those "crimp butt" connectors (I have no idea what they're really called). The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because the shielding is pretty thick and it's hard to run 4 of these all around the living room. It ended up costing me about $30-$50 just to mount them nicely and it took many trips to the hardware store just to find the right size wire staples and raceways that would fit the wire. I guess it was worth the hassle because they're much better than the ones I got with the system. I figure if you're going to spend a bunch of money on a fancy TV and a bunch more on your home theater system you might as well do it right the first time.Customer Review: Where is it?

I can't believe it takes a week to ship this! Shipped 6/7 and now it's 6/13 - with no sign of the speaker wire! I ordered a subwoofer cable from another online retailer and it arrived the next day with free freight!! C'mon Amazon, what gives?!
6/19-update - after it finally arrived, it turned out to be good stuff. Nice insulation, stripped easily, looks good. The printing on the one side is a bit light, so it took a little effort to tell apart since the wire itself is copper in both strands. I'd order the product again but from someone who ships faster - there was no resason for this to take so long to arrive.

I recently received this product from Amazon and was surprised to see that the color is "antique white", which is really a slightly brownish ivory color. Kind of like the color you'd get if you combined a quarter cup of coffee with 3/4 cup of milk. The photo on the website has been brightened and does not represent the actual color.
I'm pleased because this is close to the color of my off-white walls (it's actually a little darker than my walls, but it's close enough).
If you are expecting a pure white color though, this product will not match.

I purchased a Pioneer 1019AH-K and Klipsch Quintet SLs and needed some speaker wire. My room is white and this cable matched reasonably well. The sound quality is good, the price is good, and the style is good. It's not like I have a super-high-end system with wires strung through the walls that would require very high-end cable so this was perfect for me. If you aren't sure, go ahead and get it, though, because it seems to run out of stock quickly. I'm not an expert or anything but this was very easy to work with and got the job done. Highly recommended!
