Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of 3M Privacy Filter for Standard Notebook Computers with a 14.1" diagonally measured displayCustomer Review: decent but viewing angle still to wide Summary: 2 Stars
I have an IBM T42 laptop with a 14" LCD and the Filter fits the screen well. However, I have noticed that most of the sticky tabs provided with the package are necessary for the screen to stay in place.
The viewing angle is still too wide. Someone sitting right next to you can easily see everything on your screen - unlike what is suggested on the back of the package.
Customer Review: Love it, great for nosey clients. Summary: 4 Stars
If you are a consultant and you have nosey clients. YOU NEED THIS.
If your clients require you to share a cube. YOU NEED THIS.
If you travel and need to work in busy places. YOU NEED THIS.
Just sayin, you need this.
Sometimes the filter slides out of place. I wish they provided more filter holders but other than that a great product.
Customer Review: Notebook privacy screen Summary: 5 Stars
I am delighted with this product...it enables me to work on my laptop without reflections or glare which means I can now take it outdoors on a sunny day and see the screen with no problem. If privacy were an issue it would certainly provide that as well. Even working indoors is so much easier on the eyes with the filter in place. I leave it on all the time now!
Customer Review: Privacy Filter Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent product. Allows you to work in public forums like on an airplane without the person next to you reading your screen. Tried to order from Dell, but too long of a lag time. Amazon got it to me quickly. Very happy with both product and service, and recommend it, especially if you have to work on corporate/client/personal matters in public forums.
Customer Review: privacy filter Summary: 4 Stars
Overall, pretty good. I find it particularly useful to keep away
prying eyes when I am on a flight or at a conference.
The only thing that I do not like is the ugly tape at the edges.
A better clip-on would have been preferable. Plus that would have
made it easier to just remove the filter in small group discussions.
