Customer Review: provides modest relief over standard, but there are better alternatives

This mouse provided some relief over a regular mouse. I think angling the hand in a more "pistol-grip" manner is more natural. However, after using it for awhile, I still developed strain because of the need to move the mouse around.
For me, having a stationary input device is the best. I have the Logitech TrackMan Wheel and I am loving it. It takes only a day to get used to. It is very fast and easy to use. I would recommend a trackball over this 3M mouse.

I am suffering from tennis elbow and golfer's elbow, not from the sports, but from working at my desk. I checked out every type of mouse but they all had to have my hand flat. I was in too much pain. Then I saw this vertical mouse. My pain was significantly less in a vertical position. So I tried this mouse. I am so much more comfortable and am adapting easily to this mouse. I highly recommend it to anyone with pain from using traditional mice or suffering from tennis elbow.Customer Review: Great mouse for RSI, I couldn't believe it!!!

I'm an IT guy, I've been in the business for better than 20 years. Using a mouse is a big part of my day. After years on a regular mouse, I developed problems with my wrist and elbow areas (all at once very painful). Using this mouse has cured my wrist pain, it's gone away completely and not come back. I bought 3 of these things, one for each computer. It's been a great solution in getting my hand oriented in a vastly different position than I was used to!Customer Review: Evoluent Vertical mouse is better

I tried this mouse about a decade ago. Worked ok for awhile, but then got in the bad habit of using my fore finger on the top of the mouse for hitting the mouse button! Obviously not how you're supposed to use it. But I ended up ditching it and going back to a regular mouse. Fast forward 5 years and I tried the Evoluent Vertical mouse. MUCH better and sturdier, and more comfortable and less "weird". Evoluent solved my wrist/hand pain. Never going back.Customer Review: Produced shoulder strain

I had hoped to use this mouse for times when I have several days of click-drag-release activities. Because your grip is a couple of inches higher than on other mouses, I experienced much shoulder tension. (I saw this problem mentioned in another review also.) Perhaps with the right desk setup you can compensate.
Also, I find a stationary mouse such as the thumbball or the Logitech Marble Mouse provides more exact mousing for me.
