Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of 3M Wireless Ergonomic Mouse, Small (EM550GPS)Customer Review: I am pain free! Summary: 5 Stars
I had 'mouse knuckle' from repetitive mouse clicking while working. I really thought I would have to go on super pain relievers and then Arthritis Today recommended this mouse. What a change it has made. No more waking up in the middle of the night in pain. It does take some getting used to and the left click is not as sensitive as it could be -- and I have my settings as fast as they can be. But, I would not trade this mouse for a regular mouse ever. Follow the use instructions until you are accustomed to the way it handles and then you can kick up the click and pointer speeds. My husband was so impressed he bought the large model for his work. His carpal tunnel hasn't kicked up since he started to use this mouse.
Customer Review: This is great for carpal tunnel (sp?) syndrome Summary: 4 Stars
I love this product. I only have a couple of suggestions for 3M. I have such a hard time with a mouse. I have early CT in my wrist but my job is on the computer. I also have very small hands. I got the smallest one they offered though it is still a bit too big. I also thought it would move like a joy stick instead of a mouse. I wish the base pad were thinner. Those are the only negatives I have to say,
It is a wonderful piece of ergodynamics. Using this instead of a regular mouse, reduces my pain tremendously. I will never go back to a regular mouse. I tell all my associates about this. Make sure to buy through Amazon as it is twice as expensive through 3M directly.
I love this mouse. I love Amazon.
Customer Review: Good for RSI recovery Summary: 5 Stars
Great for neutral hand position. Has helped attenuate RSI on my wrist extensors. Also forces larger motions instead of "flicking" the wrist for mouse motion. Helps keep hand relaxed between mouse clicks (i.e. no finger-hovering)
Wireless connection works great on both Mac and Windows. I have the wired version at work, and the wireless version at home.
You need to have VERY large hands to get the large version. I have large hands and the Small/Medium version is fine.
Scroll wheel might be useful, but I have yet to find an application that doesn't support scrolling with the middle button depressed.
All in all, much more comfortable than regular mice.
Customer Review: very good organic mouse Summary: 4 Stars
I started using this mouse in August 209, after having serious hand and arm problems caused by the repetitive use of a regular mouse. I looked on the web for the best mouse possible and I tried 2 different ones before this one and I must say this one is the best I've tried so far. It is quite hard to get used to it since the clicks are in a different place than on a regular mouse. But after 2 weeks, I was feeling much more comfortable and my pain mostly got away. The size Small is just great for hands like mine.
Customer Review: Frustrated with lack of responsiveness - new pains! Summary: 2 Stars
Hand feels good ergonomically but noticing a new pain in forearm and shoulder after two weeks of use. Movement need is greater to move pointer and there is a need to click several times for responsiveness which is very frustrating. What I really need is a mouse that allows the hand to sit vertically with the thumb flat. Tried to get close with the evoluent 3 but it still slants the hand and does not give a good grip or size for my small/medium hand size. Any recommendations?
