Pro: very cheap.
Con: unreliable. May not work at all.
I purchased this ethernet cable to set up a wireless printer. I used this cable to connect my printer to my wireless router, and then proceeded to install the printer's driver and software. Both of my computers said they couldn't find the printer, and trying to re-install the driver several times didn't solve the problem. When you're setting up a new and wireless printer and got this "not found" message, of course your thought would be whether the printer is defective or something is wrong with your setting. I kept checking until I notice that an ethernet status light on my router wasn't lit (and this told me that the router didn't see the printer). Went to Walmart and bought another cable, plugged it in, and everything worked fine!
These cables are cheap, but you might run into one that simply does not work at all (and you just throw it away because it's so cheap that it's not worth returning). All you lose is...your time!!
